Recently finished with new install shower with white carrara marble. Going to seal today. Tested a bit on left over piece and it seems to be dry after about five minutes or so. Product is called Filafob from Fila Products. Directions say to wait 24 hours before additional coats but I don't see any reason why I couldn't add another coat after a couple of hours. Any comments would be apprieciated.

Mmmmm. Reason I see is on accounta the manufacturer says to wait that long, Rick.

The marketing department will frequently advertise waiting less time than is prudent, but never waiting longer than necessary. :shades:

Hi Rick,

The final phase of the molecular cohesiveness of sealers/impregnators occurs when the final state of cure occurs, the obvious "it looks dry" observation before the implementation of a second application will yield less than an optimum state of future water beading.

Simple, wordy, but direct and informative. I like it that way. Probably must be some truth to it. I'll wait. Thanks again for all the input.
