Do suction cups carriers, the 8" or so hand kind with the pump, work for honed material? Have to move some soapstone mini-slabs, looking for the safest way.

Thanks,
Matt

I've never had real good luck with my glass cups on anything that wasn't shiny, Matt. I've tried'em on some tiles that I thought were pretty smooth but honed-looking and they just wouldn't seal. The cheap tile suction cups actually did better on that kinda surface.

Think you'd just hafta try'em on what you've got.

My opinion; worth price charged.

Yeah, depends on the stone and the sheen of the hone, but i'd hate to rely on something that might let go and ruin your stone.

Hi Matt :)

I've had good experience with my 8" cups on honed stone. You do have to TEST first and see how long it takes for the red danger mark to show up on the brass ring. I always wet the surface first which also seems to help.

If you really want to be safe, put it on a stone carrier. :D
