Hello.
I have a shower stall that was tiled with 6x6 tumbled marble that was not originally filled. When I did the grouting it filled all the holes. Sealed it up with a good enhancer/sealant.
Fast forward to today my oldest in an attempt to help cleaned the shower with tilex. Now the tiles look very pale similar to their look before I sealed them.
I'm assuming the tilex removed the sealant coat and now I'm back to where I started? (the grout seems to be absorbing water now too.
Do I just need to let it dry and then reseal the shower with my enhancer/sealer?
I don't know if this is etching as these tiles did not have a nice finished surface from the get-go, they were rough and textured. Attached are a couple of pics. The first is the shower stall and the second is another wall in the bathroom that was not cleaned with tilex for comparison.
My hope is to, after I washed the walls with water and a cleaner designed for the natural stone that I could let the walls dry and then reseal them.
Thoughts?
