Attchd are some shots of our kitchen granite counter. Its about 8 years old and has been sealed twice since.

Recently we 've noticed a dull spot hear the water faucet. Other than that spot it is in perfect shape. That dull spot looks dull and feels dull to the touch. Also we noticed a line along the edge as I've pointed out in the picture.

What advice can you offer to fix this?

Should i call the right person out is it something that can be repaired in the home. I shudder the alternative.

Typically that is where a water deposit of minerals would be.You could try scraping with a razor blade at an angle. It does look a little strange there is almost an X in the spot, and it looks scratched,if it is scratched you'll need someone to polish it out, hopefully he can do it without removing the faucet.

It can be repolished, but easier and thus a better job if taps are removed to carry this out.

Davestone...I shall henceforth refer to you as my 'hero'. That was exactly what ist was. A zip with a one edge razor and poof it was gone.

That little x isn't seen so it may have been the way the camera picked it up.

I am again one happy camper. A big thanks buddy:bow::cheers:
