On my countertop in the bathroom, by the handle where water drips, are round stains. You can't really see it unless you look a certain way, but it's irritating, nontheless. When company is in there and they use it, I obsessively go in and wipe everything down. I didn't get to it quick enough a couple of times, now have water spots. I used vinegar. That doesn't work. I scratch it with my fingernail, it doesn't come off. I'm afraid of making other marks on it. What do I do to get it off? I will NEVER do glazed tile again :shake:

John are we talking glazed ceramic tile? If so, get some CLR, spray it on the area and let it dwell for about 3-5 minutes. Then using a razor blade scraper, scrape the area with the spots. This should take care of it. If not then we will discuss step 2. LOL Let us know how it works for you.

Once it is cleaned, put some high quality car wax on it to stop the water spots.

Ok, will try that. Yes, it's glazed tile...it does say on the bottle of CLR that it isn't for glazed tile....?

CLR is recommended for ceramic tile. Directly from their ad:

CLR®
Bathroom & Kitchen Cleaner

Quickly cuts through calcium, lime and hard water deposits, soap scum, dulling film and dirt.
• Ceramic Tile
• Shower Doors
• Sinks
• Bathtubs
• Grout and Caulk • Toilet Bowls
• Fiberglass
• Shower Head Fixtures
• Kitchen Counter tops

I use Zep Professional CLR on ceramics all the time. If you are concerned, just test a spot in an out of the way place first.

You do use it on glazed tile? I'll try it then.

I use CLR on my glazed ceramic near the sink too. I haven't had any issues. Try to not get any on the grout, it can discolor the grout.
