Hello,
I installed some saltillo tiles on my steps. Characteristically, when saltillo tiles get wet, they get slippery. Is there something like sand that could be mixed with the sealer to give the steps a grip.
Is there a secret to make the tiles not so slippery?
Thanks.

chrisusvi,
I'll move this over to the Cleaning, Restoration, and Sealing Forum for some more responses.
I'll leave a link behind so it's easy to find where it's been moved to. :)

I posted some pictures.
The first coat of sealer is on. I need to put one more coat before I grout.
I hope the pictures help.

Hi chrisusvi :)
You should have no problems on your saltillo unless you are using a topical sealer (which doesn't appear to be the case). What sealer are you using? :shades:

I am using H&C Concrete Sealer (clear) solvent based sealer.

All you need to do is add the shark grip to the sealer.

the saltillos will soak their weight in h&c so it may get really expensive using that. SAboyt is completely right. Sharkgrip works great. we use it on many of our exterior Saltillo installations and all areas we Saltillo around pools.
