I am not sure to buy a quart or gallon of this stuff, the gallon is a better deal.
Can I keep the unused portion around for reapply or other projects after a few years?

I really don't have a clue what the shelf life is, though I don't think it would be a problem if it's kept away from extreme temps and the container doesn't receive direct sunlight on a regular basis. This is just a guess, though.
At any rate, if applied per label and maintained properly (no harsh chemicals for cleaning, etc.), Sealers Choice Gold is rated for 15 years, so you shouldn't have to recoat for a LONG time.

Hi Jeff :)
As Dave suggested, call Aqua Mix tech. Most products are rated as a shelf life of 1-2 years. As George mentioned freeze thaw in another thread, but even if freeze thaw doesn't occur, many products can start to separate (or give off a foul odor).

As a general rule of thumb, we always try to get our customers to buy only as much as they need at the time.
We feel its best to buy fresh product when its time to reseal.

Hi George :)
Good rule of thumb, however, I have even gotten "fresh product" directly from the manufacturer, that wasn't so "fresh".
There's also a difference when you're a homeowner vs. a contractor. For instance, it wouldn't be practical for me to purchase quarts of product for the ongoing volume of work that we do.
