A classy way to "stick it to the man".

For years, USC and UCLA have played their annual rivalry football game with each team wearing its home jerseys. With USC in dark red, and UCLA in powder blue, there is no way that either team will be confused as to who the respective players are. The NCAA enunciated one of its numerous silly rules - penalties for celebrating touchdowns being one of the others - requiring the visiting team to wear white jerseys. The penalty for violating such rule is the loss of a timeout. USC decided to wear its home jerseys anyway, giving up a timeout. In a spirit of sportsmanship, UCLA responded, right after the kickoff, by taking a timeout so that both teams would be operating under the same game conditions. The crowd in the Rose Bowl cheered loudly over this open defiance of the NCAA's pointless intervention.

Thats interesting, Dan. Speaking of Rose Bowl, looks like my Nittany Lions will be taking on USC on New Years Day.

I was just looking at that, glad they didnt have to play the
Gators or you guys might as well have not even shown up....lol

I'm deciding on which Bowl I want to go to this year.

went to the Outback Bowl (Penn vs. Tennessee) last year and the Capitol One Bowl (Auburn vs. Wisconsin) & (Wisconsin vs. Arkansas) before that.

have a few near me this year.

Brian, It's a no-brainer! Gator Bowl all the way!
Actually, it may turn out to be a really good game. Clemson's new coach is a ball of fire and really turned the team around when he was named interim coach mid-season. He is now the Head Coach. It's fun to watch Clemson football again.
