I have a newly installed glass and stone (honed onyx) backsplash. I did not get enough of the grout off during installation and have been wiping and chipping away at it since. It looks great except for the bits of grout in the "bumps" of the glass. The job is 2 days old. What can I use to get this stuff off without damaging the grout surrounding the small tiles? :uhh:

50/50 mixture of vinegar & water.
or if that does nothing try looking into StoneTech Pro - Restore (http://www2.dupont.com/Stone_Tech_Professional/en_US/products/clean/restore_acidic_cleaner.html)

You might want to use some baking soda and water combination to neutralize that acid wash after you are done. Just a half cup of baking soda to a 4 gallons of water should do the trick. Wipe it on, agitate it, and clean with clean water and sponge.

I was told by the Rep. the StoneTech Pro - Restore is self neutralizing.
but if decided to use it I would call to make sure.
I don't see it on the site, Data sheet or MSDS.

Hi cdarabi, Welcome! :)
Use caution with anything acidic around the honed onyx. That is a very sensitive stone. TEST first!
