Bush Warns Against `Too Much' Government in Markets

It's borderline Orwellian for Bush to issue these statements while presiding over financial bailouts and industry nationalizations that are decidedly anti-free-market.

What's next? Will he be instructing world leaders not to meddle in the affairs of other countries?

I'm not looking forward to Obama, but I sure am not going to miss Bush.

Art, I'm counting on the recession (depression?) to stymie some of the Obama initiatives that neither you or I would favor.

Deficit spending may become a thing of the past if no one will extend credit to our government.

I will... He's still a great guy who did his best. His intentions were good. Not a good speaker but then again neither am I... Didn't like some of his decisions, but I think history will be very kind to him... :)

I don't personally see someone being a good guy or doing his best as a qualifier or deserving of reward or amnesty. That not only goes for bad leaders, but bad physicians / police officers / tile installers / etc.

If I recall correctly, Truman's approval was lower than W's when he left office. OTOH, Bill Clinton left with one of the highest approval ratings. Time will tell. :)

Bill Clinton left with one of the highest approval ratings.

Maybe it was from one the cigars he had. :shades:
