Hello all,
It is my sad duty to inform you that beginning Monday, the 17th of November, I will no longer be in the Sales/Design/ Tech support dept of Watts Radiant.
I am to be temporarlily assigned to production for an undetermined time, until such time as I can be re-assigned to the Design/Sales staff, due to cutbacks (which are happening all over the Country).
During this time, I have passed my user handle and password to one of my peers, and he will be able to answer questions as I have.
It has been a great place to learn, help and share, and look forward to being back sometime, and I thank all of you for your opinions, comments and help.
Steven
Thanks for being with us and good luck in your new assignment. :)

Good luck, Steven. I'm hearing about layoffs at many of the companies in the business. Let's hope things take a better turn in the new year. :)
Who's the new guy? Step forward, please. ;)

be weird calling a guy Bob when the screen name is Steve.

Yeah, we discussed it, and he has his own handle and password, so he can just introduce himself.
Hes literally my right hand guy, (sits in a cubicle to my right) and he is technically up on things. He is a young guy, his name is Christopher, and if you ever talk to him on the phone, he tends to speak too fast, but he is getting better!
Actually, the position I am taking is supposed to be temporary, and is designed to keep me here to be plucked back up if, and when, things pick up, so its not a bad thing.
Its good to remain employed, and continue working for the same company, as they have been good to me. I started back there in the fabrication area, so its no big deal for me to transition, I just wont get to wear my nice clothes!
Thanks for all the good wishes, and I will check in now and then! :neesie:

Ahh... Would that it were so...
There is an art to what is called "Capping" with solder, and some people just never get the hang of it, and its a Watts Radiant signature.
Also brazing copper and brass is somewhat tricky for the beginner, as the heat has to be just right, and the parts well prepped for tight leakless joint.
There are T Drills and all kinds of forming equipment he would have to break in on.....Ugh....
He just hasnt done anything like that, and he is a whiz on the computer, so he is best left where he is....
