What do you guys recommned I use to clean the gtanite counter tops with? Also what about the shower with the soap scum? Thanks for any advice.

There are many counter wipes, and granite cleaners,i have no idea which is best, never did a test, but here(at the tyw shop here store, above) we have stonetech products to meet your needs, check it out.Typically a soap scum buste will be acidic based, but for everyday cleaning use a neutral cleaner.

Hello,

I have looked at Stone Tech products. First how often do you guys recommend sealing gout in a shower? I'm loking at buying Stone and tile cleaner for everyday cleaning of tile and granite. Next is Heavy Duty Stone sealer to seal up the granite on my kitchen counters and finally Grout Sealer to seal up all my grout in the kitchen, bathrooms and tiled shower grout. All the products are Stone Tech. Does it sound like I have all the right stuff for what I plan on using it for? Thanks for any help.

Welcome, Ricky. (Is it Ricky?) :)

I've combined your cleaning and sealing threads here for continuity.

If you're using StoneTech Professionl's Heavy Duty Grout Sealer in a shower, I would expect to renew it annually or at least every couple years. For other indoor areas I'd expect three to five years between applications.

I'll let the real stone gurus address your granite sealing. You'll need to tell them exactly what granite you have, though. Ain't even all the same stone.

My opinion; worth price charged.

Can I use the Bulletproof stuff to seal grout or is that for certain stones only? Any Guru's out there to help me out on my earlier post of what I had said I was going to use on granite and grout? Thanks

I think you have outlined a pretty good program for yourself. For what your doing you don't need the BulletProof. Save the extra money and use the Heavy Duty Stone Sealer.
A shower is a tough environment for sealers....expect a shorter sealer life span there than a floor or tub surround...
The Stone and Tile cleaner is a good neutral pH cleaner for sealed stone and ceramic tiles......
Soak everything well when using the sealer and wipe it off clean and dry before it gets a chance to dry on the granite or grout surfaces... sometimes this means going back over it with more sealer several times within a 10 - 15 minute dwell time to keep it wet... then wipe completely clean and dry.... no streaks or hazy spots left behind!

Thanks George T,

What did you mean by Soak everything well when using the sealer and wipe it off clean and dry before it gets a chance to dry on the granite or grout surfaces... I would want the grout sealer to dry in the grout surfaces right??? Or Do I need to keep the grout soaked until it wouldn't accept anymore grout sealer? Thanks for you help
