Grout Waterproofers

Is there such a thing as a true grout water-proofer, and if so, what products are recommended? Also, what product is best for shower floors? I understand the need for a sealer that permits evaporation. Look forward to responses.

Nope, grout, even when sealed is not waterproof. A properly constructed shower handles the water that gets under the tile and it should end up down the drain. If you've got a leak, sealing the grout won't help you.
