Hi,
I have natural slate - the kind with a rough surface - along the water line of my pool. (Yes, I've heard the horror stories about cheap slate dissolving, and no, this is not one ofthem.) I've had it for two years and it still looks quite good. However, over time it has collected some calcium/scale build-up just above the water. The tile has never been sealed.
Does anyone have any suggestions for removing the scale deposits? I'm hesitant to use something like CLR, not only because I'm not sure if it's okay on slate but also because I don't want to mess up the pool water.
Thanks!
Michele
