Just watched the Matrix Reloaded for the second time this afternoon. Man! P2P is sure great. Has anyone seen it? I'm at a loss to understand just what happened in the special room with the old guy and all the TV's. Did anyone actually follow that? I know the guy said something like: "You're just a human so you can't understand everything." I personally didn't understand anything. Oh well, this must be their way of upping sales by getting repeat viewing. Even though I saw the movie in the theater the day it opened and I have a mediocre copy on my computer, I'll still buy the DVD when it comes out.
Another thing. Did you notice that things always go bad for the good guys when the bad guys: "cut the hard line." If you had this place where you wanted to keep out trespassers, wouldn't you go and eliminate all of the escape points right away? Why do they always wait until the good guys have almost succeded and then cut the escape route?

Haven't seen it yet, but being a movie topic my favorite is The Good, The bad, And The Ugly. I love that movie aswell as all other clint westerns. Have you seen Jackass yet?
I hate to admit it, but I didn't understand the first Matrix movie....in fact I fell asleep in the theatre(something I'd never done before or since). I rented it when it came out on Video and still didn't understand what was going on. Now the reviews for Re-loaded are saying things like "what a kick ass movie!"...but what happened? How can so many people like a movie and not understand it?....and just in case someone know the answer to this question....who the hell is Rosebud?;)

I saw it...I liked it. I'll have to see it again to catch it all, because I got caught up in the visual themes and lost track of other details, like the plot.
The whole thing with the TVs was about choice and how it affects your life, others lives, blah, blah, blah...same as the rest of the movie. :p
I saw Finding Nemo yesterday. Another great Disney/Pixar movie, funny for kids and adults. :D

Don't go anywhere near "Mulholland Drive" if you can't stand movies that make no sense!   It's a David Lynch (Twin Peaks, Blue Velvet, Wild at Heart) movie and I have to admit...I didn't understand not even ONE thing about that movie. However, I must admit though, and I'm quoting my DH now, "There is a scene with girl on girl action that made it all worthwhile!"
My hubby is quite the videophile and I've seen lots of off-the-wall movies, but "Mulholland Drive" takes the cake. "Naked Lunch" was quite wierd too.
My son loves Japanese anime, so my husband bought him that Oscar winning film, "Spirited Away." Very imaginitive...I like that one a lot.
:p <-- the movie has a frog in it, I think this one looks like a frog!

Why do they always wait until the good guys have almost succeded and then cut the escape route? .....sounds like the story of the Red Sox to me.
Sue, this is a frog.:)

It's only been 85 years. There's parts of New England where it takes twenty years for you to stop being the new guy. A true Red Sox fan is willing to wait. btw what is that frog eating?

I've continued to study this movie. Found dozens of sites and forums. It's a situation where the more you know the more confused you get. Sorta makes sense, considering how confuser, I mean COMPUTER oriented the series actually is. Cami, In a way you're correct, the scene with the architect (the old guy) is about choice, there have been five previous repeats of this story in Matrix land, we've only been exposed to the sixth.
Talk about tying in all kinds of different formats. There's the movie, 2 video games and a cartoon DVD that all tell a part of the story. To really understand things, you have to buy ALL of them. I have a feeling that this concept will be around for a long time. You can actually download parts of the DVD online or even steal, Ahem, borrow the whole thing here:

If you look hard enough you will find the actual movie there as well.

Hey check out "Momento". It's about the guy who forgets everything he knows at the end of each day...Sort of sounds like part of my life now that i think about it. Anyway it forces you to watch it from his perspective. You see the last scene first and the first scene last.
