I have a through body porcelain that I installed on a pool deck. Around 3000 s.f. I am about ready to grout.

I am looking for a good way to clean all this porcelain the day before I start to grout. I cleaned it as it was set, but there are a few lite thinset smears, here and there. The surface of the tile is rather course and slightly pitted. :)

John, i'd be willing to bet you'll need to clean it after grouting also, and if it's not too bad now i'd wait till after grouting and use a haze remover and a buffer myself, with a green or brown pad, or medium stiff nylon bristles. But if you wanna clean now, i'd still use the buffer and sulfamic acid crystal idea, trouble is it'll get all in the grout joints and you'll probably hafta wetvac it out.

Thank you Dave,

I'll go ahead and clean after grouting. It really isn't bad... How long would you wait after grouting?

It works out best to wait a couple days, grout manuf. and sealer manuf. both recommend 72 hours, although some disagree.
