Grout sealer... question

How many pro's seal grout?

Any particular method used?
Do you just paint the sealer on your grout lines with a fine brush?

What type of sealer is recommended?
What are the benefits of using a sealer... any point if you plan on using a darker grout like a chocolate brown?

I seal grout as part of a new home installation, or if the custy asks.Doesn't matter the color it helps keep it from turning colors from absorbing stains is all.I try different sealers actually,just to stay on top of things.I do it several ways, some times i use the bottle with the wheel, sometimes the corner of a sponge.
