I sealed my unglazed porcelain patio tile yesterday using TileLab Sealer and Enhancer. Today there is residue sitting on top of the tiles that will not dry/penetrate the tiles. At first I thought it was just because of our humid South Georgia weather yesterday, but now I'm starting to get worried. What do you think is going on? I spot tested before I started it and it didn't look like I would have any problems. I've gone over the area several times with a clean, white cloth, but still the residue. HELP!

Nurse you've put sealer on something that doesn't absorb a sealer and it dried on top and left a haze. What you need to do is strip the sealer and just reapply it to the grout joints.Check the bottle or manuf. for the proper stripper.

We've been advised by TileLab to use a heavy dute stripper/cleaner and a floor polisher using the white pad (due to large area to strip). What will happen to the grout when we strip the sealer? Are we going to lose some grout in the process? Can the porcelain tiles be damaged or will they stand up to the stripper and scrubbing?

The tile will be fine.I would use a nylon brush instead of the white pad as it will get the edges of the tiles, and help clean the gunk off the grout line.I would also not let it dry as you go, in other words do small 10x10 areas and wetvac the gunk off,the wetvac is very important here, let the cleaner sit a minute then agitate with the buffer, then wetvac.Keep a couple white or darker pads on hand just in case you need them.
