Hello all, I would like to start by welcoming myself to your forum pages, i feel honoured to bring my substantial plethora of pure wisdom to the pages of the uneducated and ill-informed. as long as we all agree from the start that my way is the best way (even if I have no experience in the matter) then we will all get along just fine. Pouches dont follow us around. youve seen kangaroos havent you? pouches in the front, pal. makes it easier to get to your tools and its conveneient for carrying baby kangaroos.
anyway, a bit of background for my new friends. I am a ceramic tiler in Brisbane Australia, I have been tiling for about 5 years now, and started my own business in late 99. I do one or two BIG houses a year for an architect, and the rest of the time I do a lot of renovation and commercial work. This year my little business will turn over about 100K. I have one offsider and occasional grouting laboiurers, otherwise i keep the whole thing fairly low key. I take on a few challenging jobs and this helps me learn a few things along the way, and my aim is to take 4 weeks off once or twice a year and go and work for someone else who knows more about a certain type of tile installation than i do.
