I remember going through this with both my sons for more than a few years.

Eons ago my eldest took second place in speed with his jet black racer..... then took first place in the "best lookin" contest.

Twenty five coats of sprayed, hand rubbed lacquer it was. :----)

I pretty much took over the building of a racer for one of my sons years ago. Had it so sleek and slim it looked like nothing could touch it. Lightened it up too much, though. It came in second to last, and the last place car didn't have any wheels. :D
