I had grout release applied on limestone before grouting.
Do I need to clean the limestone with a stone cleaner or revitalizer BEFORE applying the Enhanser?
I am applying and letting it dry as I write this and notice fish eye going on some of the surface. Of course the test area was small and looked fine.
The instructions arent really clear that a "cleaner" needs to be used before applying the enhanser.
FYI. I washed the grout and tile down 2X over the past 1.5 days for curing.
thanks...Chris

Depends on what the grout release wasChris, if it was a sealer release it may keep the enhancer from enhancing. If it was a soap release it should have been washed off during grouting.

Chris - You also mention "fisheye". That is a term that relates to topical coatings or film forming products. StoneTech enhancer products are penetrating sealers, not top coats. After 10-30 minutes all excess sealer should be wiped off the stone surface.
If you are using the waterbased Enhancer and the product you applied prior to grouting was a sealer as opposed to a grout release, That product may be repelling the water in the water based Enhancer causing it to bead up.

here are pics of the Limestone...
Instead of using a spray bottle for applying the Stonetech Enhanser I used a foam brush whereas I was able to control the amount and evenly spread. the bottle left some blotches where the spray made contact. I also experimented with the time it set too, this seemed to help.
Anyway its all enhansed/sealed. Per your PM, George this Enhanser is also a sealer. So I should be all done for I hope a 2 years. Any treatment to the grout other than the enhanser??

Nice looking floor Chris.
Yeah, and very creative use of colors on the walls there, too, Chris. :D

Ha, I am glad I caught myself and returned the expensive hardibacker board on those walls. I will take purple sheet rock anyday.
Now on to finishing the subway tile.

Nice job Chris,
If there is enough Enhancer in the floor you should be good to go. I would wait till the whole job is done, give the floor a final "after construction" cleaning and then decide if your floor wants more sealer...

George-
What is the best recommendation for daily/weakly cleaning? I know for a fact my wife will try and use just about anything on these floors as she does with the porcelin through out the other part of the house, this just builds up in the grout.
As of now, we plan to use dust mop and mild soap and water. Is this the best way?

Chris -
There is nothing wrong with that method...soaps needs rinsing though...use a good neutral pH cleaner if you want a no rinse product....you can get our Stone & Tile Cleaner right here at the TYW Store....
