Whats worse on an exterior tile job?
Canadian winters or Houston summers.
hint:(precipitation.)

By Golly, Art. You've hit the nail on the head again. Besides having what outsiders would consider extremely warm summers, we also have one of the nation's highest annual rainfalls. We get something like six feet of rain every year. Tile contractors here send up weather balloons before starting an outside job.

You know, the longer I am on the net and listening to everybody, the happier I am living on Long Island.

You mean Lon Giland, don't you?
How does rain effect that hot tile?

Whine, whine, whine. How about icicles hanging from your wet saw? How about the drive on the saw freezing and seizing between cuts? How about cutting tile while wearing ski gloves? How about using motor home anti-freeze in your saw water? How about shoveling the customers snow on their drive and walks just to go to work? How about carrying 60# boxes of tile on glare ice? Oh yeah, and it rains here in the summer too.
I love it!

Aptly put, my friend.
Hey Bud
I thought I was the only one to put anti-freze in my wet saw! Actually I bought one of those tiny wet saws(red base, crome metal top..you've probably seen them..they work pretty good). So if possible I bring it inside(put it on a plastic boot try to catch the water) If I'm really stuck,I leave the van running and cut in the back.
Fallen on my head a few times carrying tile(protect the tile at all costs) and of course if it's too cold..just don't do it.
coping some rays. All stretched out feeling part of nature letting it all hang out.
Along comes a cool afternoon shower, (any Seinfeld fans out there?) It shrinks!!!!!!!!!!
"TILE SHOCK", someone should make a movie.
Gee!! I wonder why those nerdie guys, with the pocket protectors and the leader dogs, keep preaching total coverage?
