This summer I installed a used white marble counter top in my kitchen. During the process of removing and installing the countertop broke in two places. What is the best way to patch these substantial cracks? Epoxy with ground up marble from the same marble? (I have leftover material). Should I grind out the crack first? I am concerned that if I use epoxy it may yellow over time. The counter is installed and stable.
Also, what is the best way to remove simple stains and seal the counter? Currently the finish is a beautiful matte which I would like to keep, no gloss for me>

Thanks,

An Akemi kit with color palette would work, use the knife grade transparent and add some white coloring to the resin to the desired color, then add a creme hardener, use a popsicle stick to get it between the two pieces of stone, then squeeze the pieces together, and when the Akemi rises above the surface, wait till it gets 3/4 hard then use a one sided razor blade to carefully scrape it perfectly flat, then sand and rehone the area to satisfaction....caution it may take many practice tries to get it right. You need to identify the stains in order to remove them, you can buy poultices for this.Or you could find a restoration pro to do this work, but it will cost.Try a few websites or You Tube for videos of the procedure,or NSRAWEB.
