Hi,
New to this forum, been reading lots though. We have an upcoming project in our main bathroom. I will be using the rialto porcelain tiles from Lowes. I have been reading about a lot of people having issues with grout staying in the pits of the tile. I am debating if I should just go ahead and seal the tile before the application even thoguh it isn't needed to eliminate this potential issue. I have tiled a small bathroom floor before with success but it did not need sealed nor have this issue (different tile). I am going to possibly be tiling the floor and walls (in planning stages now). Do you think I should seal the tiles? Is sealing the tiles going to make them more slippery on floor tiles?? Any advice on which sealer to use? Thanks in advance!

Kathy

I wouldn't waste the sealer or cause undue spotty issues,i would just apply grout to the joints and wipe it before it has a chance to dry in the pits,or if it is a small tile just wiping the face with a wet sponge and then grouting and wiping it up before the grout dries will be enough.Be sure to wipe the faces a couple times.
