Has anyone heard of a granite/natural stone sealer called Dry Heat? It is an Australian product, and was recommended by the owner of a local tile store. She says that it can be used to seal any stone or cement product, and is guaranteed for fifteen years. The drawback is that it costs almost $100 per quart.
Thanks,
Bob D.
Welcome, Bob. :)
I'll move this one to the Restoration forum where the sealer gurus hang out.
I've also combined a bunch of your threads about your counter tops, which is what I presume you want to seal, yes? Perhaps we can also combine this thread there after you get some answers.
Not good usually to start a new thread with each question, better to keep'em all together so folks who want to help can see the history of the project. :)

I think you mean Dry Treat,Bob, ad i've heard nothing but good about it, but haven't used it myself.Be sure you have the type of granite that even requires sealing before you spend the money...also, the guarantee is if one of their trained people apply the sealer i believe.

OK, I will try to keep all related questions in a single thread. Thanks for the advice.

Hi Bob :)
Dave is correct. Dry Treat is the name of the company. To uphold the 15 year warranty, their products to to be applied by a licensed applicator. Another aspect of the warranty is both Dry Treat Stain Proof and Dry Treat Marble & Porcelain sealers need to be applied when applicable.
All said and done, they do provide a good product (with or without the warranty). On the negative side, anything living should be removed from the structure prior to it's application. The solvents used as the carriers are extremely nasty. Appropriate ventilation and protective safety attire & respirators should also be used.
