This ought to be fun. The long anticipated list of players using steroids is due out within the hour. I can't wait. How many "future" Hall of Famers will never be elected to the Hall because of drug use?

Some of the names mentioned. One or two of the players mentioned have already cleared their names.

Yeah, he was nuttier than a fruitcake.
Did you ever go to a Mets game when he was pitching for the Braves? It was fun, especially if you sat by the Braves bullpen. :D

No votes for lynching these guys? Come on, let's hear it with the same enthusiasm that you bashed Bonds with.

Bonds is still in a category all by himself IMO. In general I think the guys who stayed off the juice deserve credit while those who didn't should be sort of in a neutral category. At some point in time it became expected to use drugs in Baseball just to keep up. That makes it different than being a thief for example because its never been assumed that stealing is necessary.
Bonds on the other hand was a known user who knew that everyone knew the truth about him and he still put Baseball through TWO sham Home Run chases. Even Clemens, who may very well have lost his standing as being the best pitcher in decades, didn't stoop to that level. Heck, there's an excellent chance the only reason Clemens ever found his way into Steroids was because he's incredibly stubborn and vindictive and wanted to rub a certain former Sox GM's nose in his success.

There's no way to punish any of those guys.
Retired players-what can you do to them except keep them out of Cooperstown as the writers did to McGuire.
Active players- they are covered by an agreement that says you have to catch them. You might catch a real dummy. :dunce:
Selig is blowing smoke when he says he will consider some action.
The only way somebody is going to be punished will be for perjury.
Personally I think it's best to learn a lesson from this and move on.
