Gore: US blocking climate talk progress. (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20071213/ap_on_re_au_an/bali_climate_conference_103)
Oh, is this the same ALGORE that owns multiple mansions, and flies around in private jets?
Oh, is this the same global warming conference where the delegates didn't have enough room at the airport to park all of their private jets, and had to fly the aircraft empty to another island just to park them?
Is it really any surprise that ALGORE would blame the US?
When all of these idiots start living their lives the way they want to tell me to live mine, MAYBE, (and that's a big maybe) I'll listen. Until then they can :moon: .

:lol1: Good one Frank.
But seriously folks, this whole "climate change" thing is about one thing, tax revenue. They are coming for your money. Am I the only one concerned about that?
I'm sure taxes play a big part of your gas prices Jim. Don't they?
Merry Christmas to you too Kathleen, thanks.

I wonder why you don't see the same thing in our war machine?
I do, I do. As I have stated before, I am very unhappy about the manner in which we wage war. And I would love to see things change in that regard.
Wastefulness is rampant within the bureaucratic behemoth we call "Government". And that definitely needs to change.
And don't start goin' on about Ron Paul, we all know how you feel about him. :D

Kathleen,
You're tough... What's not to like about the guy??
I mean, he just reduced his electricity useage by 11%..
Let's see, instead of using 16,000 kw/mo, he's now using 14,240 kw/mo.. Now that's still compared to 1300 kw/mo of the average home in Nashville..
Now that's somethin ain't it??
I bet it cost him that million he just got from Oslo to transform his house to an energy efficient one...
My energy useage here in O-Ho-Ho last month was 1409 kw/mo for 3k sq.ft.
Of course ya know that President Bush already has geothermal n all that stuff, but it ain't news - don't cha know...

There appears to be some interesting spin going regarding new Aussie PM Rudd and Kyoto. The MSM is reporting that Rudd is signing Kyoto and using that to slam the US (again). But is he? This Bloomberg (http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601080&sid=aeysCdHJu2SU&refer=asia) piece certainly makes you think that if you don't bother to read to the bottom, where Rudd says: "We will proceed with the question of binding commitments in a methodical fashion,'' "methodical fashion?" hmmmmm..... In other words, Australia hasn't agreed to Kyoto at all - this was simply show so he can say he fulfilled a campaign promise. The Sydney Herald (http://www.smh.com.au/news/national/rudd-feels-the-bali-heat/2007/12/06/1196812922127.html) has "the rest of the story....."
Watch for Rudd to back out completely several months from now - when he thinks no one is watching. :yeah:

You might want to pick up a dictionary buddy.

"My own country, the United States, is principally responsible for obstructing progress here in Bali," said Gore
Well then, maybe he should stay out of the US and go live in Bali.
And to think he could have been President ... someone who represents OUR country ... someone who would sell us out ... that SOB (sweet ol boy)

I'm sure this will be be trashed as "right-wing corporate propaganda," but Sen Inhofe (yes, a Repub) has published a new "consensus" report (http://www.newsmax.com/insidecover/global_warming_busters/2007/12/21/58912.html) on GW. Basically this consensus says there's no consensus. :deal: :stick:

Science.
Politics.
The two rarely meet in concert. Examples: Evolution, Stem Cells, Terry Shivo (sp?), and Global Warming.
I don't believe a single word that a politican who is garnering votes has to say about any scientific theory. He has no credibility.
"My own country, the United States, is principally responsible for obstructing progress here in Bali," said Gore America, Love or Leave It. Yeah, thats a real good idea. It's called "Freedom of Speech" and Gore's got it and so do you. If you don't like it, why don't you move to Bali?

I don't believe a single word that a politican who is garnering votes has to say about any scientific theory. He has no credibility. Does that "he" include "she," Scooter? ;)
and considering that Inhofe is swimming upstream on the GW issue as he comes up for re-election, it's a little hard to say he's "garnering votes." :suspect:

For an Ex-VP of the US of A to make that statement is not only in bad taste but is border line treason...
I hate it for anyone to go outside the U.S. and trash our President who runs this country.. Dem or Repub...

Inhofe is swimming upstream on the GW issue as he comes up for re-election, it's a little hard to say he's "garnering votes." Any politician is garnering votes--until he retires--then he's a lobbiest.that statement is not only in bad taste but is border line treason... Not the Fox News "disagree with the President is treason" viewpoint, again. Sheesh. Thats getting old. After Hillary is President, I'll remind you of this.

Stephano, where are you getting those posters? Outstanding!
Now, in defense of Al Gore, I think you guys have all forgotten his real contribution - inventing the internet. :stick:
You know, about six weeks ago I read that Mr. Gore's global warming movie was under attack for being labeled as a documentary, that some group wanted it re-classified as a work of fiction. No kidding here, the lack of proof and the bias, etc. etc. The story I read also stated that Gore was forced to remove several sections of the film even before it was released in order to call it a documentary. I wish I could find more information about that - it seemed to have disappeared. :(

Or maybe how Eisenhower and Nixon trashed Kennedy and Johnson? Oh, I forgot, those Dem presidents were sooooooo perfect.

Uhh... maybe you missed the Memo in 2001--
Gore isn't a President, and never was. He's a civilian like you and me.
Now if the point is that no one, not a single soul, can criticize our government, for fear of being labled a traitor, well that is interesting.
My point is that we all have freedom of speech, and if you truly believe that horsepucky you've been selling about treason and traitors while we are at war, then I will remind you in 2009 when Hillary is President. And you know I will. So either retract your statement or be prepared to seal your lips from 2009 on for 8 years while Bill and Hillary get back to the White House.
Your choice.

Gore isn't a President, and never was. He's a civilian like you and me.ex Presidents and VPs are never "like you and me." :shake:
only Democrats Carter, Clinton, and Gore have broken with long-standing traditions of decorum with regard to behavior towards those who succeed them. It's not about "free speech" - it's about tradition and good manners. I guess that explains why the retired Dems behave so much differently than the retired Repubs. :stick:
