some of you may have seen this, but had to post. America - what a country!

I cross ocean,
Poor and broke,
Take bus,
See employment folk.

Nice man treat me
Good in there,
Say I need to
See welfare.

Welfare say,
"You come no more,
We send cash
Right to your door."

Welfare checks,
They make you wealthy,
Medicaid it keep
You healthy!

By and by,
I got plenty money,
Thanks to you,
American dummy.

Write to friends
In motherland,
Tell them 'come
Fast as you can.'

They come in turbans
And Ford trucks,
I buy big house
With welfare bucks

They come here,
We live together,
More welfare checks,
It gets better!

Fourteen families,
They moving in,
But neighbor's patience
Wearing thin.

Finally, white guy
Moves away,
Now I buy his house,
And then I say,

"Find more aliens
For house to rent."
And in the yard
I put a tent.

Send for family
They just trash,
But they, too,
Draw welfare cash!

Everything is
Very good,
And soon we
Own the neighborhood.

We have hobby
it's called breeding,
Welfare pay
For baby feeding.

Kids need dentist?
Wife need pills?
We get free!
We got no bills!

American crazy!
He pay all year,
To keep welfare
Running here.

We think America darn
good place!
Too darn good for the
white man race.

If they no like us, they
can scram,
Got lots of room in
Pakistan .

It is interesting that the federal government provides single refugee with A monthly allowance of $1,890.00 and each can also get an additional $580.00 in social assistance for a total of $2,470.00. This compares very well to a single pensioner who after contributing to the growth and development of America for 40 to 50 years can only receive a monthly maximum of $1,012.00 in old age pension and Guaranteed Income Supplement.

Maybe our pensioners should apply as refugees!

Lets send this to all Americans, so we can all be ticked off and maybe we can get the refugees cut back to $1,012.00 and the pensioners up to $2,470 00 and enjoy some of the money we were forced to submit to the Government over the last 40 or 50 years.

:shake:

The majority of people on welfare are white Americans. So, I think the poem is an empty rant. Furthermore, I am surprised to see this type of poem on the John Bridge Forum.

The majority of people on welfare are white Americans. given that "white Americans" still comprise a majority, that shouldn't be a surprise. So? So, I think the poem is an empty rant. You think? Well I think it's probably pretty close. Furthermore, I am surprised to see this type of poem on the John Bridge Forum. That's why they call it the Mud Box, DC.

Maybe you'll like this one better:

At first I thought this was funny...then I realized the awful truth of it.
Be sure to read all the way to the end!

Tax his land,
Tax his bed,
Tax the table
At which he's fed.

Tax his tractor,
Tax his mule,
Teach him Taxes
Are the rule.

Tax his work,
Tax his pay,
He works for peanuts
Anyway!

Tax his cow,
Tax his goat,
Tax his pants,
Tax his coat.

Tax his ties,
Tax his shirt,
Tax his work,
Tax his dirt.

Tax his tobacco,
Tax his drink,
Tax him if he
Tries to think.

Tax his cigars,
Tax his beers,
If he cries,
then Tax his tears.

Tax his car,
Tax his gas,
Find other ways
To Tax his ass.

Tax all he has
Then let him know
That you won't be done
Till he has no dough.

When he screams and hollers,
Then Tax him some more,
Tax him till
He's good and sore.

Then Tax his coffin,
Tax his grave,
Tax the sod in
Which he's laid.

Put these words
upon his tomb,
'Taxes drove me to my doom...'

When he's gone,
Do not relax,
Its time to apply
The inheritance Tax!

had the largest middle class in the world, and Mom stayed home to raise
the kids.

What in the hell happened? Can you spell 'politicians!' And I have to
'press 1' for English!?!?!?!?

I hope this goes around THE USA at least 100 times!!!!! YOU can help it get

True story a very, very good friend of mine who works for Social Security tells this, he interviewed the man.

A sixty-five year old man, his birthday, landed at JFK from Pakistan. His relatives bundled him up and drove him straight to the S.S office so he could retire. Not only had the man never worked a day in this country he never lived here either. He did not get a dime.

I would check out Snopes for those numbers.

Some political issues, it seems, are so emotionally charged that proponents of one side or another will promulgate anything that reflects their viewpoint, no matter how irrelevant, inapplicable, or erroneous it may be. The ongoing debate over U.S. immigration policy is one such issue, and the above-quoted e-mail forward about refugees settled in the U.S. receiving financial assistance from the federal government that amounts to almost double the stipends provided to American pensioners is one such case in point. The piece is more than three years old, it was written about Canada and not the U.S. (someone has merely substituted the word 'American' for 'Canadian' throughout the text), and it wasn't even true about Canada.

Whenever a message is received that says "forward this to everybody you know", a red flag should go up. Chances are about 99.9% that the message above that sentence is an urban legend.

If you really feel the need to forward, please verify the store at http://www.snopes.com before doing so.

reality is I don't know how you'd ever prove or disprove the welfare thing - does anybody REALLY know how that system works? Especially when you look and state and local systems. And while the numbers may not be precise, the point is still valid - we are passing out too much welfare to people who shouldn't be getting it. And don't look now, but if the liberals get their way you'll be marveling at how prescient the author was. Like handing out SS benefits to illegals, for starters. Can we really afford that? :shake:

But it's really more of a problem at the state level with all the bennies we are giving to illegals and particularly their children - who are being made out to be the "victims" of our system. Horsepuckey. At least the voters here in AZ are trying to fight back.

But I dare anyone to tell me that the list of taxes is a myth. Worse, how many of those taxes were sold to the voters as "temporary?" :stick:

Didn't see Capital Gains taxes or Hotel state and city taxes, or Estate taxes in the list.. :)

sadly, I suspect the list changes faster than we can keep up.
