Can't figure out how to do this!! To the left of the page under the date and time of each post first you see the user name, under that some thing like registered user or Tile Contractor or moderator, then the Avatar. My question is how do I change "Registered User" under my user name "saldibs" to "Tile Contractor". I just can't see where to do that. I am guessing that it's not a user option to change it.
By the way Happy Thanksgiving :turkey:

Sal,

I could be wrong, but only 1 or 2 Moderators can change your user name.

Thanks Chuck S but I don't want to change my user name, but what is directly under it.

Can I be a tile contractor too? :D
Or does that whole cheap landlord episode negate that option forever.

No, I've been remiss. I used to keep up with this, and then we got big, and . . .

I'll keep it going now that it's started. :)

Dave M., honorable forums engineer, tells me he's fixed it so you can edit that info yourself from now on. He didn't tell me how to do it. I imagine it's in your profile, though. ;)

Yep, you can edit your profile by clicking the User CP link. You'll find the new option there. :)

Heh, you sure you want to give us the option of modifying it ourselves??

<-------lookey here :yeah:

Splinter, do you have to know it all to be a troublemaker, or do you have to be a troublemaker to know it all, or can you know some and be a bit of a pain. How much trouble do you have to cause to become enlightened to know it all, or does the trouble start after you have reached enlightenment. Just wondering since you know it all, hope i did not cause you any trouble. :blah: :yeah: :yeah:

Sal, you're looking at it all wrong.. The two are not dependent on each other.. I was a troublemaker since birth... It took me years to become the know-it-all I think I am.. :D

BTW... call me Alex... It used to say just that under Splinter until someone done gone and changed things around here... Suddenly I became a kitchen-bath remodeler without lifting a finger.... I dont mind though, 'cause as it turns out, I AM a remodel guy... :)

Alex, I guess with the trouble making and all knowing you get a good sense of hummer to. :yummy: :yummy:

Heh, you sure you want to give us the option of modifying it ourselves? No, Alex, some of us were not in favor of that, and for the very reasons you cited. :D

I suggested this change, and I hope you all will treat this freedom, like
any other with respect so we can keep it. ;)

Here's the thing. We won't allow anything we consider objectionable or offensive. So within those parameters you call yourself whatever you like. If, however, you are interested in possibly picking up work through your affiliation with this site (and that's the objective of this exercise) it would behoove you to list something there that might further that effort. Billing yourself as a trouble maker won't enhance your appeal, I would think. ;)

You're welcome, Dan. :) I started through trying to fix everybody, but everybody is too many for me. That's why Dave bailed me out and opened it up to everyone.

I appreciate the fact that I was allowed to be called a tile contractor.
I will do my best to live up to that title and not be an embarrassment no more. :D

When will you bring back your kitty cat avatar? I liked it so much better than your 'roid rage tennis ball.:D
