My 10 year old son came up to me tonight for some help with his history homework. I couldn't remember the answer so I told him I didn't know the answer.

He then asked, "Didn't you take history when you were my age?"

I answered, "Yes but it was so long ago I can't remember the answer" to which he promptly replied, "EXACTLY, that's what mom said too so if the both of you can't remember the answer because it was so long ago, why do I have to bother learning it now. I'm going to forget it anyway just like you!!!!"
