My 10 year old son came up to me tonight for some help with his history homework. I couldn't remember the answer so I told him I didn't know the answer.

He then asked, "Didn't you take history when you were my age?"

I answered, "Yes but it was so long ago I can't remember the answer" to which he promptly replied, "EXACTLY, that's what mom said too so if the both of you can't remember the answer because it was so long ago, why do I have to bother learning it now. I'm going to forget it anyway just like you!!!!"

Arrgg.. Go to bed.... :bang: :bang: :)

I just told my kids that when I was their age, it wasn't history yet. It was current events or it hadn't happened yet.

Unfortunately there is a lot of truth to that statement and it makes me feel like :gerg: .

Don't you hate it when the songs you listen to as a youth are now played on the "Classics" station.
