Hello!
I wanted to post this question to you all. This is my bathroom floor...I'm not sure if this is a small mold problem or a big one. My question is can I just use the mold removal fomula here (clean it and continue on with project)...or do I need to replace this subfloor? I'll be putting down peel and stick flooring squares.
Thanks bunches!

I'm not a mold removal specialist, but it looks as if you patched the wall and it also may contain mold. The mold may also be in the wall and under the plywood, and may even have reached another area,it will continue to grow and spread, and whan you rip out the floor it will cause spores to be airborn...this as much as I know,so you may want to read up on proper mold removal before you start ripping out, but in my opinion you should tear out anything moldy, using the proper protective measures of course.I used pros in my own house.
The key is to stop the source of water intrusion. - mold will not grow or spread without moisture. If you do a search (use advanced search, search for "mold" in title) there's some pretty lengthy threads about mold remediation with a variety of opinions.r

Hi Don :)
Yes, this is a very touchy issue in which I don't have enough knowledge to give the correct advice. I do know that mold needs moisture to grow. I don't know what happens to existing mold if the moisture source has been terminated.
