HI. Hopefully this is a dumb question and there is a simple answer. I tiled my bathroom floor with black textured porcelen tiles. 25 minutes after applying the grout, i wiped most of the access grout off the tiles with a wet rag and sponge. 30 minutes later, i repeated this process. 2 hours later, i repeated it again. Now i have clean tiles but, residue is still lodged in the texture part of the black tiles. They are suppose to be pure black tiles but, they have some squiggly lines of grey now in the texture parts of the tile. Any recoomendations to rid these pesky textrure discolourments? Thanks

I was really hoping to get a reply here on this. I have no strenght left to scrub anymore. When i wipe the tiles with water, they look fantastic. But, 3 minutes later, they dry and all the grout stuck in the texture of the tiles reappears. PLease, i beg of u all, someone please give me some advice so i can go to bed. These are deep texture tiles and i only got them in the first place because i felt id stick better to the floor when i got out of the shower.
I have some sulfamic acid cleaner, but, i beleive it says the tiles must have been mortared to the floor for at least ten days before using. Is this stuff any good or i am once again wasting my time? Would this stuff get into the texture joints and loosen them up enough to get them off? I feel like ripping up the whole project and just lay down vinyl again and waste all the time and money i invested into laying these tiles. HELP

I am in the EXACT same boat, but the opposite, light tiles, dark grout.
This is a VERY pesky problem.
I've heard some say grout release won't help, others say it will.
Some here have gone as far as a light bristled wire wheel cup in a drill.
I purchased the RTEEZ magic grout eraser the other night - 2 pack for $15 at the local tile store, one wide one narrow.
These do seem to help, and though the package says not to use on the tile surface, I've found them to help quite a bit for this problem we both have.
I've also found that a "scotchbrite" pad, folded over itself a few times, or wrapped around the eraser works very well also.
Unfortunately I don't think there is any magic bullet for this problem, at least I've not found one in hours of searching here and elsewhere.
So far I've only used hot soapy water, no vinegar or acids as I've been cautioned against those here.
Perhaps your favorite adult beverage will help your patience for scrubbing - I know it does for me!
