My marble shower is only 1 year old (new construction). We dutifully squeegee the sides and floor after every shower and there is still soap scum. It is driving me crazy. I had an estimate to clean and reseal and was quoted $1,000 and the shower is not very large.
Please help!

Hi CRoberts, Welcome! :)
Sorry, I didn't capture a question in your post.
Can you post a picture as well? :shades:

Wow thousand dollars to clean & seal? That's expensive (having not seen it) ...what was the contractor proposing to do? Is the marble dull and etched and the contractor is planning on doing some light restoration?
I'd like to see pics too.

Hi CRoberts,
Sometimes soap residue as I like to call it conceals other negetive stimuli whether it be chemical burns and or scratch accidents. As a marble polishing contractor I find vertical work to be physically challenging especially in 90 degree weather.
What is the color of your marble?

The color of the tumbled marble in the shower is a cocoa brown color. The area where the feet stand the most shine more than where the soap scum is obvious.
Also I don't know how to load pictures. Sorry

Hi CRoberts.
Take a look at this link to an article in our Liberry (http://www.johnbridge.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=14926) on how to post pics.
