We just moved into our new home and the southwest rugs that the old owners had apparently had no slip rug pads underneath we didn't see and when they took them up, left rubber pad stuff stuck to the tile. We've tried everything we can think of from Goo Gone, Greased Lightening, to Acetone on a very small corner. The acetone took it off but left the mark where the rubber was and seemed to pit the finish. The other stuff barely touched the mess! Scraping gently with a razor just gets the raised stuff off and it's a really big area and leaves the pattern of the pad.
Anyone have any better ideas please?
Thanks!
