Bamboo Shower

Here is a poorly scanned (by me) picture from the latest Dwell (September, 2007) issue.

From the article...The six-by-six foot shower boasts a hardwood-slatted deck, which allows water to seep into a concrete pan that empties into the main drainage system. The cage of bamboo poles provides the requisite privacy to the user. I thought some of you might find this interesting.

Well I got that beat.

We were in Boliva a few years ago and I sampled this shower which had 220v hooked up to the metal shower nozzel. Any time you tried to adjust the spray it sent you flying across the room with a sizzle.

Definitely a way to limit water use in a third world country.
