Anybody "been their" and "done that" at 'Western Hills'?
What kinda' place is this...... what do I have in store for a few days?
I don't golf or ride no horses.... sneaky as they is...... :suspect:

Dave,
I hear that there's plenty of RV parking in Western Hills and the folks will let you pitch a tent anywheres where there ain't already crops. As far as entertainment goes, I recommend staying away from anyone suggesting that could show you "The Sooner Spooner". Them cowboys can be rough at times and we want you back here without too much emotional baggage. :)
Have fun storming the castle!,

My Mom is from that part of the country.
Frog legs should be good. Pecan pie the best and fried chicken good. This time of the year watermelon, (look for the ones with yellow meat) tomatos will be good.
Don't feel bad if you can't understand a local.
Shake the bugs out of your shoes in the morning and know where the underground shelter is.
Be safe

Even though things run a bit faster near Tulsa than they do around OKC, I think you can still have quite the conversation with any local using one of two phrases:
"I tell you what."
"You bet."
Cheers.
Dave, you'll fit right in if you'll take a cowboy hat and run over it with your truck a few times, get it looking real good. Or maybe a baseball cap with the bill folded over a little extra.
Jerry has good advice, I've shook a scorpion or two outta my boots before and Flatfloor's advice is always good to remember. :tup2:
Scott didn't say it but, itellyouwhat is one word. :D
And don't pay no nevermind to Scott (sgrandjean), some of them words he tole you to use are waaay too big for an Okie. :D

Well, I gots' back OK from OK. Now I unnerstan' Pirate's comment about "Sooner" and "Boomer" and such. Gawd' it was hot and humid. Ol' OK tourism folks say OK has more shoreline than any other state.... methinks' Minniesnota' may object.
Alcohol free trip it was.... but not by choice.
Resort had a saloon (Black Jacks) with a sign a-saying' it opened at 5:00pm. Soooo.... I showes' up at 6:30pm in time to see multiple state policia' and park rangers leavin'.... and find the bar doors barred and closed.
Seems a group of Taylor in-law out-laws had proceeded to the saloon right when the doors opened and...... in the interim between their arrival and mine..... some kind-o-ruckus' ensued and the joint was shut down by management.
The joint remained closed throughout the remainder of the Taylor reunion.
Jeeeesh.......
