Many dozens of my customers are active duty or retired military, or DOD civilians, working in the Pentagon. Many family members and close friends are either active duty or retired military.

Christina and I are going to contribute to a Pentagon Survivors' fund, administered by a local bank (Riggs). I haven't seen anything in the national news about this, and wanted to offer to collect any donations members of the Forum may wish to make and forward them to Riggs Bank.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

Rob

Rob, Get me the name, address, name of the fund and we'll make an announcement on all the boards which, as you know stays at the top of the list. We'll leave it there for a month.

Rob:

I tried to email you about this, but today my ISP sent me a response saying it couldn't send email to you - nor to at least one other aol person known to moi.

Either you'll eventually receive it, or you won't. But that's just a guess.

Today, Christina and I drove down to see the Pentagon. It was a bit eerie to see it in person after seeing it on TV.

We were struck by how it looks both horrible and not as severe as the news reports. The Pentagon is 1/5th mile long on each side, so the 40 or 50 feet missing is just a small amount in comparison to immensity of the rest of the building.

The other thing that you don't get a sense of on the TV news is the layering (known as rings) as you go farther into the building. From our vantage point, you can see right into the building , with the rings exposed.
