Now that I have finished and sealed my shower with a honed and filled travertine and Spectralock..what do we use to clean it? I know it needs to be a ph balanced cleaner but anyone have any suggestons as far as a name brand, or somethig we can buy locally? Thanks

Hi Ray.
I just purchased some StoneTech Revitalizer cleaner for my Honed/filled travertine floor and granite counters. It seems fairly mild and can be used for everyday use, or so I'm told by the rep. I haven't tried it on any tough jobs, but it cleans the grease on the counters pretty well. I ordered mine from www.stonetechstore.com.
At the same time, I got some of their Klenz-All, which is intended for tougher jobs. They also have another product called Restore that is intended for the hard water marks and soap scum.

The Restore shouldn't be used on Marble Travertine or Limestone. It an acidic formula. :)

Oops. You're right. It says so right under the product description. Thanks for pointing it out.

anybody have a suggestion? Is it necessary to use a "disinfectant" cleaner?
I saw a product called "La's Totally Awesome" cleaner. Says it contains no bleach, ammonia or acids. Is this OK? Thanks :yipee:
I think it will be okay to use. Try it in a small area first. Let us know if it gets the soap scum off.

Hi Ray :)
I like to stick with tile & stone specific neutral pH cleaners. They have a track record in the industry, and are safe for stone. Aqua Mix and SCI have disinfectant cleaners available.

You can use Kleenzall from Stonetech. Its stronger than Revitalizer. Just use the Revitalizer afterwords to neutralize the kleenzall. You can buy these products here on this site in their online store as well.
Hope that helps.
