I have a commercial client who wants to use slate in the entrance to a restraunt and some of the hallways next to the kitchen. I recall in here before mention of some of the denser slates that might make for easier maintenance, but I can't recall any names. Do you guys have any recommendations? Thanks.

I've seen some nice Brazilian slates from Quarry SE..(Across the street from Master Wholesale) that were very much like what I've seen come out of Penn./the East coast. Might check it out.

The place Trask mentioned is a good place to look. When I have customers that need a harder slate I send them to American Slate on 1st ave. 532 1st Ave. North of Safco Field and the turn off up onto the Viaduct.
Good Luck
