You all were absolutely invaluable to me when I installed my ceramic tile (Daltile French Quarter) kitchen floor almost 2 years ago. I have two repair issues I now need to address. When my granite countertop was installed, one end was set down pretty hard on the floor. The tile is not cracked, but one corner has become loose. It is right in front of the stove, so it's hard to avoid. The grout in that area is a little low too. My other problem is in a different spot. I have an area about an inch long that the grout has come all the way out. It's grown over time and I need to stop it! I have my original bag of the grout powder. I've also taken pictures. If it would be helpful to see them, let me know. Thank you!

The area where the grout has come loose and is growing is a big concern, probably movement causing this, need alot more info on this floor to see what is going on, not an easy fix.:)

It started as a tiny chunk of grout that came off the top--almost like an air bubble or a funny little piece that flaked off, and every time I mop or vacuum a little tiny more crumbles and comes out. There should NOT be any movement. On this forum's recommendation, that underlayment is SOLID. I didn't want to do all that extra work, but boy am I glad I did. The spot has grown to about 3/4 inch in 20 months. My fault for letting it go so long. Also, high traffic area.

Should I have posted this thread in the general forum? After scrolling through again, it seems like maybe my question is misplaced in this forum.
