Anyone else a victim? We found we were inadvertantly feeding our rat terrier the tainted food, it was getting sick, and had diarrhea, we just thought she was getting into something, but couldn't figure out what.It turned out to be Publix brand dog food, we were mixing it with other dog food luckily though, so she didn't get a lethal dose. One might call this food Old Ralph...or Arsenic and Old Roy...okay, i'm done, and she's okay. :yeah:

Glad she's OK, Dave. Last I heard, the problem has affected way many more animals than has been reported.

My mother in laws dog "Tupper" died. Apparently there's a bunch of people that are suing, she isen't though. I don't think I would neither but I'd probably be pretty upset. We feed our dogs more premium food for better health. We used to mix up some cheaper stuff though. At $40 a week it get kinda expensive. I guess they're worth it though. :D

Iams and Eukanuba are among those tainted. Aren't those premium brands?

Iams wet dog food. We feed our two beagles Iams smart puppy ( 1 year old, and the other one is 4 months ) dry food. They are just fine and happy as can be... Now if they would just leave the vegitation in the backyard alone....

CNN and Fox said this morning that PETA is expected to have a press release later this morning asking that the effected manufacturers and brands now include their dry food in the recall.

We feed our two "kids" Iams dry. They seem to be OK; I sure hope so!

Hill's Prescription Diet Dry cat Food

Just added to the list (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070331/ap_on_go_ot/pet_food_recall;_ylt=ArXwxEjbphI5vDgw7KPg6Les0NUE) . Said the wheat gluten was same as in food already on the list.

Shaka is on their dog kibbles...not any more. We bought a new bag two weeks ago and she had the runs the last couple days. Wanted to eat but rejected her bowl. I asked Dave if he wondered....but we said...it's only the wet food.

How many more are going to to appear on this darned list? and why?

Our Mikey is on Nutro dry. No problems.

Now they are backing off the wheat blaming some ingredient that goes into plastics (melanin sp?) and fertilizer in China. Illegal here.
