Well, there is such a thing as water intoxication, which could lead to a related problem resulting from dilution of the sodium in the body (and a more serious condition), hyponatremia. Hyponatremia is common in infants under six months of age drinking formula that has been diluted too much, and in athletes who drink too much water and not enough electrolytes.

HA that's great. There was a Penn & Teller:bullsh*t episode on Showtime about global warming. They went to a huge global warming save the earth rally and got hundreds of signatures to ban Dihydrogen Monoxide. It was pretty funny. hmmm it's got to be on the intarweb somewhere. Well, y'all can joke all you want, but as a person who is frequently required to carry large quantities of the stuff on his back over very rough terrain, sometimes for days at a time, the greatest hazard is the amount of gravity contained in even small quantities.

And that content can increase dramatically at higher elevations, especially if the Dihydrogen Monoxide is loaded in the pack at lower elevations. And the effects are substantially exaggerated by advancing age.

As a long time user and acknowledged addict, I can tell you this is no laughing matter. :shades:
