Greetings all! I'm new and desperate... Posted on many DIY forums and my posts have went ignored. What I'm asking is CAN CERAMIC TILE and GROUT BE STAINED?????????? Or is this too far out... I have white ceramic tile in my foyer and small bathroom that I want to change the look of. I love the red Mexican tile, but am not willing to replace perfectly good tile. Any suggestions , ideas or comments PLEASE!, Thanks Yvonne

You can stain the grout, and you can paint the tile, recoat the tile with an epoxy product, and maybe there are other remedies i don't know of, but you can't succesfully stain the ceramic, that i know of.

Greetings! Thanks for quick reply. I only thought about the possibility of staining when I saw so many other ideas about tile resurfacing. Yvonne

YOu can stain the grout. The tile can be reglazed, but that is usually for walls and not recommended for floors that get traffic.

I've heard of people using marine epoxy paint for tiles.

But do you want the look of a painted tile? Floors are pretty visible. :monster:
