Anybody ever dealt with rings caused by (I think) a deodorant stick container on a marble tile countertop? This is one of those natural mineral salts deodorant stones -- says it's ammonium alum. Appears that where the container sat on the marble it etched the surface?? Assuming if that's the case that the stuff is slightly acidic....Wondering if there is any way to rub those out or handle without grinding the tile down or replacing.

Hi bwebb, Welcome! :)
No need to replace your stone. It sounds like it's etched. Depending on how severe, you may or may not be able to do this yourself. Aqua Mix has a product called Renue that might do the trick for you.
Can you post a picture? :shades:

Thanks John, great site!
Anyway, no sorry, not set up to take or send photo right now. Pretty sure this stuff etched the surface -- shiny smooth marble tiles, dull rough rings where it sat. I saw someone mention Aquamix products in another post, thought I'd try one. It's carried by Lowe's I guess and there'are a few around here so I'll see if they have Renu. Thanks for the tip, I'll let you know if it works.
