Hello,

I was all set to tile my bathroom, so I ripped up the linoleum and found a very nice 1x1 tile floor underneath. I have decided that I would like to keep the newly discovered tile, it is in very good shape. I have used a Methyl Chloride stripper to get most of the hard black substance off. This seems to work, however I cannot seem to get this stuff out of the grout lines. Is there something I can use to get my floor completely clean?

Any suggestions on how to get the remainder of this stuff out so I can have a nice clean new/old tile floor?

Thanks...

Hi errodr :)

Can you post a picture?

When you had the stripper on the grout, did you agitate it with a stiff brush (before removing the stripper)? :shades:

I will post an image tonight.

I am pretty sure I did agitate with a stiff brush.

Thanks...

Here is what the floor looks like:

Looks like you were right, I was not scrubbing hard enough.

Thanks!
