Hi All

I been lurkin' in here a bit and have a question I hope some of you good folks could help me with

My master bath is finally tiled and grouted. I put up the pebble accents (baja creme), that are natural stone. I have not yet grouted these. I used sanded grout on the walls with 3/16" grout lines. Tile is porcelain. Plan on using the sanded for the accents as well as there are some wide lines in the pattern. TY JB (my other thread)

When we purchased the tile, they recommended an enhancing sealer on the pebble. We purchaced stonetech enhancer pro sealer that I planned on using on my grout as well. The grout is a light color.

After reading some of the posts on enhanceing sealer on grout am now wondering what I should do? :bang:

1) Enhancer Pro on pebbles first then grout. i see a nightmare having to reapply without getting on grout.

2) Grout pebbles then seal after grouting

3) Grout pebbles(no enhancer pro) and find a product that I can use on both grout and accent pebbles. Bulletproof maybe?

I am worried that my grout will come out blotchy and unattractive.

Any help would be greatly appreciated :tup2:

No bulletproof.I would preseal with enhancer, then use an impregnating sealer for the grout,or (test use) different enhancers, which is a hastle.

Rick, I used enhancer pro on my kitchen countertop grout in an attempt to darken it since it came out lighter than the sample, apparantly because I used water rather than additive (hydroment). At first it drove me nuts because it darkened in a blotchy uneven manner. I finally said oh well, I can live with it, but miraculously by a few weeks later it had all evened out and now looks great (and matches the caulk!). ymmv. But it will darken the grout.

Hi Rick :)

You may not have to preseal the pebbles. See how they look after grouting. Then determine whether you want to enhance them or not. This will help determine whether or not a light acidic cleaning will be necessary, and which sealer to use.

Or, use Dave's suggestion. The tough part is not over sealing the pebbles.
