Shawnee just posted something to the effect that they had trouble posting but finally got thru. I went to reply and got an invalid thread notice and Shwanee's thread is gone. Pooka's?

Yes, there do seem to be a few quirks in the new software, but our "systems engineer" is figuring them out one by one. If we paid him more, things might get done quicker. If we paid him less, he'd owe us money. :D

No it happened to me also. I attempted to respond to Shawnees post and once I viewed it I couldn't post and I couldn't go back to it. I even closed out JBS and returned and still couldn't view the post after the very first time. Never could open it a second time.

Hey guys, I think I finally figured out what my problem was (well, this one anyway). The format is definitely sensitive, if the sign in or password are lower case and I use capitals then it is a no go. I have to remember whether or not I used capital letters!!!! Am I right???? Thanks though for the attempts to post a reply. Somewhere out there is my post...:laugh2:

"YOUR ASKING US???
We don't know that's why we have ole Davem to answer all the hard computer question stuff.
Maybe you should re-post your comment 'cause I think the first one is lost in cyber land somewhere.:)

Shawnee it must be you...............:)
Now the above post wouldn't fly at all, here's what I got on my end:
Warning: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' (111) in /home/tileman/johnbridge-www/vbulletin/admin/db_mysql.php on line 40
Warning: MySQL Connection Failed: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' (111) in /home/tileman/johnbridge-www/vbulletin/admin/db_mysql.php on line 40
There seems to have been a slight problem with the database.
Please try again by pressing the refresh button in your browser.
An E-Mail has been dispatched to our Technical Staff, who you can also contact if the problem persists.
We apologise for any inconvenience.
So I closed out and came back in again and there are TWO posts, I didn't expect any. What the heck here Davem?
Do you think Shawnee is possessed or something? Is your real name Mulder?:)

I don't know Bud, that error message says when you hit submit, it couldn't connect to the DB to insert your reponse, or perhaps it inserted ok, and then couldn't connect to read your new response to display it for you. Glitch. :bang:
I don't know if this has anything to do with Shawnee. I'll do some checking. Shawnee, can you please try to start your own thread? If you can log in from the 'home' page, bottom right of the screen, you have your password and username correct. :)

Shawnee?
When you walk through the hardware isle at your local Big Box do things fly from the shelves and hit your body or anything like that?:)
Can you microwave a pizza without a microwave oven?:) Does your TV go fuzzy when you walk into the room?:) Do you receive official NASA radio broadcasts from your safety razor during a morning shave?:)
How about FOX, MSNBC, CNN, can you hear any of them without a TV?:)
Just looking for some answers here that's all!!!:D

I only find one shawnee in the membership and it's all lower case. You can request your password by going into your profile. (I think). ;)
If you can't get in, Dave or I can mail it to you. The registration date on that membership, by the way, is Dec. 5., so the older one must be gone.

I think you looked at that cross eyed John, shawnee reg'd 02/05/2002. I poked around a bit and didn't see anything, but didn't really know what something bad looks like in there. ;)
Me thinks Bud may be right. :p

What!!! Hey, I am just here minding my own business....besides I am "down Island" from you Hamptons people (who think they're actually New Englanders!). But, heck I don't want to start anything else. (And "you guys", means all genders right?? as otherwise, it'll be MS. Shawnee to you )::)

Us'ns refer to you and Cisco as Up Islanders. Being a former upper I may now be a downer. All very confusing.
Please give us a non gender neutral first name Ms Shawnee and I will happily use the appropriate terminology. :)

Are you saying that Shawnee is gender neutral? Gee, I thought yoze geyes would have oogled (er..I mean watched) Bay Watch. Shawnee was definitely not gender neutral. I believed she was a well enhanced female. One thing she and I have in common is that we are female. Nancy:shades:

Ms. Shawnee.......indeed!! I have no doubt that you are a soothsayer!! But, I know little about Bay Watch, and if the truth were known, even less about the female gender!;)
So, I'm forced to accept your version of "Shawnee," which I do without reservation, knowing full well that you are far more knowledgeable and savvy about those things than I. :D:D
Up-island..down-island...big-island...little-island....short-island............Lon-Gisland. I am so confused. :D
