A toilet leak has casued effloresence to appear beneath the finish on Saltillo tile. The unglazed tiles, which have been in place for about 10 years, were treatedwith linseed oil, and then sealed with MexSeal. The've been retreated two or three times with the MexSeal. The tiles are set in mortar and grouted with acrylic/sand mortar. Is it possible to reatore these damaged tiles?

Maybe what you have is a combination of efflorescence and milky sealer. The efflorescence will stop after everything dries, but if it's trapped below a sealer you won't be able to get rid of it without removing the sealer. If the sealer has clouded a reapplication of the sealer may help.

I agree, you may need to strip off the sealer and let it to dry out. :)
