I installed and grouted Brazil green slate on a mud room floor and let the homeowner use this room before it was sealed. My only condition was that she not let it get stained, ie no wet feet (human or ather animal).
Well animals obviously don't listen very well and would rather mark the area with thier own scent. Yes it was an accident, old dog must have piddled on her feet before walking on new unsealed slate.
I used Stonetec's oil stain remover (kind of like a gel paste with cleaner). It left a dark ring. I then mixed a poultice with water and I am waiting to see if this will remove the ring. Alkaline cleaner worked a little but didn't lift the stain.
Anyone have any other ideas for this type of slate?
