I have just had a new home built. The grout color is grey in some parts and white in others. When builder tried to repair by removing grey grout and filling in with "antique white" which is what they swear was put in, I ended up with a yellower white and on the shower floor a brown grout! So now builder wants to try to put colorant on the grout that is not in the shower.

My question -- is colorant permanent. I mop once a week in there. Will the colorant mop away over time?

Thank you for your help.

Hi
Aquamix grout colorant has a 15 year wear guarantee...it's epoxy based. It's good stuff.:)

I'd like you to keep me posted as to how successful the "lightening" process goes. If it's a penetrating colourant, it's often difficult to lighten the finish. I'm not saying by any accord that it can't be done, I'm just wanting to know the details available. Thanks.

Sonnie,

Aquamix colorant is topical. You can go over any color to achieve any color.
